How carriers opt in

Consent is collected on Terra’s public carrier application form — a web form at app.terrausa.com/apply — on the same step where the carrier enters their mobile number. It covers the Terra Job Alerts program only. The checkbox is optional and unchecked by default; the application can be submitted without it. Reproduced below, exactly as it appears on that form:

Separately, active Terra carriers receive operational text messages about work they have already accepted: dispatch assignments, schedule changes, site and gate instructions, and signature requests. These are service messages tied to your carrier account rather than marketing. You receive them because you gave Terra your mobile number for the purpose of receiving work assignments, and they are not affected by the box above. Replying STOP stops every Terra text, including these.

The checkbox is shown checked above to illustrate the consent action. On the live form it renders unchecked by default and is never required to submit an application — consent is not a condition of doing business with Terra. Carriers onboarded by phone give the same consent verbally, read to them word for word from the language above, and a Terra representative records it on the carrier’s operator profile.

Consent is stored on the carrier’s operator profile in Terra Logic Suite. Every Terra Job Alerts broadcast is filtered against that flag before it is sent, and a carrier without an active opt-in is recorded as skipped for lack of consent rather than messaged. Operational dispatch messages for work a carrier has already accepted are sent because the carrier provided their mobile number to receive work assignments, and are not filtered on this flag.

Message frequency & rates

Frequency varies with available work — typically a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Terra and the mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, CANCEL) to any message to unsubscribe immediately — no further texts will be sent. Reply HELP (or INFO, SUPPORT) for assistance, or contact dispatch at dispatch@terrausa.com. Carriers can also ask their Terra representative to update the SMS preference on their operator profile at any time.
